Introduction
QovaFit (“we”, “us”) provides a mobile fitness and wellness application that helps you plan workouts, track progress, explore meal ideas, participate in challenges, and engage with community features. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use QovaFit. By using the app, you acknowledge this Policy together with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Account and profile: name, email address, password (stored securely on our systems), profile photo or avatar, phone number, and date of birth when you choose to provide them.
Health and activity data: weight and unit preference, hydration, step counts and daily step history, plus related timestamps and daily reset markers used to show your dashboard and progress.
App usage and preferences: meal plan preferences, favorites, reminders, notification settings, recipe ratings, challenge participation and progress, and community posts or comments you submit.
Technical data: device or app identifiers needed to deliver notifications, protect accounts, and diagnose errors (for example crash or performance data where enabled).
How we use your information
We use this information to operate and improve QovaFit: authenticate you, sync your profile and settings across devices, personalize meal and exercise content, run challenges and community features, send in-app or push notifications you opt into, measure engagement in aggregate, maintain security, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (where applicable)
If data protection law in your region requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing the service); our legitimate interests in securing and improving the app (balanced against your rights); and your consent where we ask it (for example optional notifications or marketing-style communications if we offer them). You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, subject to limitations described in this Policy.
Sharing and processors
We may share data with service providers who host our infrastructure, databases, analytics, or push notification delivery, solely to provide QovaFit on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or asset transfer with notice as required by law. Community content you post may be visible to other users according to app design.
Retention
We keep your information as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. When you request account deletion, we apply the process described under “Account deletion” below.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your QovaFit account from the app. When you confirm, we schedule permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data after a 30-day grace period and sign you out. If you sign in again with the same account before the grace period ends, we cancel the scheduled deletion and your account remains active. After the grace period ends, we delete or anonymize your data as described in our systems, and you will not be able to recover your account. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time before automatic overwrite. Certain content you shared in community areas may have been copied by others outside our control.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your device.
Children
QovaFit is not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe we have, contact us so we can delete it.
International transfers
If you use QovaFit from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed in those countries. We take steps intended to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may exercise deletion via the app as described above. For other requests, contact us using the details in the app or on our website. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and adjust the “last updated” indication where shown. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires additional consent.
